When you join The Natural Dyers Academy you will have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals through three levels of participation:

You will automatically be signed up to the Community Notice Board which is a free public   chat room, where you can connect, share and collaborate with other members. Feel free to simply browse the feed, post your thoughts or advertise an event, which other members might be interested in. In this room you can also post questions, polls or articles, or get in touch with any member directly.

Sign up for a free trial of the Co-Lab Rooms where you can access dedicated individual rooms, which have been designed to bring members together on the following specialised topics; 

In these Collaborative Laboratory rooms, you will also overlap with current students and past graduates of the 1 year Professional Natural Dyers Course and have access to various livestreamed events.

In the Academy Courses section you will have access to a dedicated online classroom when you enrol to the 1 year Professional Natural Dyers Course. Starting in January each year and led by master dyer Jennifer Lienhard from AppleOak FibreWorks, this course is designed to take you through all aspects of natural dyeing, using project based learning, with regular zoom meetings and guidance; resulting in your very own portfolio. It provides the hands-on experience needed to master the multiple aspects of natural dyeing, is a great opportunity to learn with a group of other dedicated natural dyers, and is especially designed for those looking to build a successful career in this field.

You can imagine this platform as an actual academy building. Enter through Reception, and browse the Community Notice Board or watch the How-To Videos for guidance on finding your way around. Around reception there are a number of doors, each leading to a different Co-Lab Room, which are like conference rooms or Collaborative Laboratories full of useful information and special events. Further down the hall you can enter the lecture theatres through the Academy Courses.
